Hi Scotty, I appreciate your old school wisdom and pa duke's ways. Lol.. I have a 2010 Chevy Silverado 5.3 4x4 crew cab that I suspect The Vapor canister is clogged due to the fact that after 3 seconds of pumping gas at high pressure the pump will shut off then do so every 2 seconds but yet if I run the truck for 10 or 20 minutes and get gas it takes all the gas no problem what do you think my friend thanks again hey brother from another mother keep it old school really appreciate it being that my dad was born during the prohibition days of the 30s🤣 I will be 44 on the 24th of this month😣 feeling old in today's generation🤣... thanks again brother just wanted to joke around a tap✊🏿... FYI I do have a 1997 Toyota Camry xle(with side airbags) mz1fe V6 with 360,000 Mi, still runs like a sewing machine. "I call it the Lexus engine." It burns a little oil, but still runs like a champ. No knocks, no pings, oil changes every 3000 miles, NGK plugs, one alternator, two knock sensors, drill six holes in the catalytic converter because it clogged up due to my job at the time was 200 miles a day for 4 days a week from Milwaukee to Fitchburg and back, and 4 shocks. All done myself, being these days if any day before I only trust working on my stuff and only people that I know do the job right the first time which of course we all know cost big dollars and these days only 1% is that away. I bought it with only 160,000 MI. Between that, brakes and oil changes, that's all that has been done to it. I did do a drain and fill on the transmission still butter smooth shift points just like day one. The only thing I have to do to it before I say hey," Scotty would love for you to do a video on my car "😁 is I just got to get a total new exhaust system. Sounds good but the emissions will definitely come in the car. Exhaust manifold bank 1 is cracked (am doing myself later)and the muffler forward needs replacing. even though it's with that engine with that many miles( I Know you hate)😅 ..it can still go strong with proper maintenance and staying on it as the miles keep accumulating but that will be in the future next year I'm hoping please take care of yourself and God bless you brother.!!!
If you get your exhaust system in, and you want Scotty to show it off, there's an FAQ on contacting Scotty: https://carkiller.com/scottykilmer/postid/158877/
@justin-shepherd absolutely..it's definitely happening next year in honor of my pops Jimmie Dale Green🫡. Will schedule next year!!!! I appreciate the info. I'm not tech savvy 🤣
Well thanks for the compliments. Yeah, it probably needs a new evap canister vent valve. Either that or the whole canister is clogged up
@scottykilmer that's exactly what I thought Mr Scotty 😎.. thank you very much for the reassurance of that. Much respect to you and your family💯
