Hi I got an error code p0305 Thought okay it's my ignition coil or spark plug, so I replaced both. Engine light went away then came back on a day later. I then took it to a mechanic he could figure the problem out. So I thought okay well I'll replace all ignition coils and spark plug maybe that might help. I went and replaced all same thing happened again, so I tried the wiggle test thinking maybe it's a lose wire to the cylinder 5 nothing seemed to work the vehicle does not put anymore at 40-45 miles an hour it drives fine but it does seem like it's using more gas. That said. I called the ford dealer told them everything that's going on the man said that it's most likely a catylactic converter. I recently unhooked the battery to reset the engine light thinking maybe that's what it needed. While I was driving the vehicle on a shift jerked a little bit. The engine light came back on with the error code p0305. Can someone please make sense out of this before I waste more money than I should Thank you .

Check the valve cover gasket leak as well.
