Have had a bitch of a squeak for about 3 weeks on front driver's side. All indicators point to upper control arm ball joint bushing. Biggest thing to produce sound is pushing down on front of hood and allowing suspension to produce the squeak. Also ruled out tie rod and sway bar.
Took it to local garage they greased it, and tested it...and it went away for a couple days. But the squeak came back. It's not loud just when the window is rolled down.
Driveability is great, turning of wheel, and going over a bumps are not a problem...no squeak. But just when driving like 30 miles per hr is it a squeak.
Could it be that the squeak is really nothing to caution over or is there another underlying issue?
they greased it
greased what? whatever "it" is , probably should be changed.
They used synthetic grease on the ball joint itself
replace it
