I’ve got a 2009 highlander with 81k. Somehow the heat randomly decided not to blow last night in the front driver and passenger zone. The heat blew perfectly fine in the rear zone. I checked the coolant and it was full. I looked online and saw an issue like this could be either a thermostat, blower motor/blower motor resistor, and even a heater core issue. If anyone can help me out diagnose the issue I would appreciate it.
please be more specific. It is not blowing at all ? or it is blowing, but it's not hot?
@MountainManJoe when the car is started and I turn on the heat, the driver and passenger is not blowing anything at all but, the rear heat seems to be operating perfectly fine with the fans on but it’s the driver and passenger side that aren’t working
Check your fuses
So for this would the fuse be located inside the car or underneath the hood?
consult the owner's manual for your vehicle.
Update: I checked the fuses and those were all good the rear heat isn’t blowing as well
try applying 12V directly to the blower motors and see if they work
Got it thanks man, I might try that
