I've got a 2009 Honda CRV 2.4L that starts to violently sputter when accelerating hard. I've heard that is a common issue when them. What could be causing it?

What could be causing it?
Probably dozens of different things. What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far? Checked the usual suspects? (Filters, plugs, fuel pressure, vacuum leaks.) Cleaned throttle body and MAF sensor? Performed a diagnostic scan for codes and live data?
