Found a 2009 hyundai sonata with about 130k miles for 3,500 thats automatic that’s privately owned with a clean car-fax . I dont know if hyundai is a reliable type of vehicle to own so, is it worth checking out.

Not with that age and mileage. Forget buying that car.

the kia hyundais from 2007-2010 gen as reliable. I have a Sportage and these cars are much better than the newer ones. But the Sonata had lot's of problems. I would stay away from it unless you get it for like $2000 and a mechanic says it is in great condition.
