Scotty I need to jiggle the gear shift in park for "park light" indicator light to come on. It goes into park but indicator will usually say "reverse" unless I jiggle the shifter.

Could be the neutral safety switch which tells the computer what position the gear shift is in is starting to wear out. Ever have to jiggle the shifter to start the engine in park?

Chuck, no. car always starts in the Park position. I can put the gear shift into Park, the transmission is in park but, most of the time the dash indicator shows Reverse, until I jiggle the shifter back n forth until the indicator says Park. Sometimes I have to bring it down to Reverse and then back into park to change the indicator. Frustrating.
