do you know if 2009 kia rio lx sedan 4d automatic they good cars i just got for free i cant seem to find information on them
They're not the greatest cars overall but it's hard to argue with a free vehicle if it runs and drives OK. Just don't put a lot of money into it when it starts falling apart.
See the site Hyundai/Kia topic for details on the issues with those brands.
thank you ..yes does run fine im get timing belt replaced and water with it and alternator and to CV axles wheel bearings all four brakes and valve cover.. bcz plan on taking to Wyoming from Minnesota
The Rio is Kia's entry level vehicle, and the 2009 model shared a platform with the Hyundai Accent. Not bad cars, overall. Hyundai's/Kia's of that era seem to have a lot fewer problems with the engines than their more modern Theta and GDI powerplants. I had good luck with both my 2000's-era Hyundais.
That said, it *is* a nearly 15 year old economy car, and it's not a Corolla or a Civic. I wouldn't put money into it beyond maintenance and the essentials (like the timing belt, which you are already doing). If it's been decently maintained, it should still have some life in it. I wouldn't have expectations of getting another 10 years or 100k miles out of it like you might with a Toyota, but with regular maintenance it could be a good daily driver for several years.
ah okays thank you reading this maybe feel little better about owning this car ..i really like bcz the gas is cheap and easy to work use to own them newer car money 💵 pit
