Hey! My question is regarding power steering fluid replacement... It has never been done before and all is working fine, however, I just watched a video where Scotty says to 'replace every 6-8 years'. Yikes! So should I just let this be since there are no problems or go ahead and siphon this out and replace? THANK YOU!

Yes change it out. Fluid gets dirty and that's an old car. Dirty fluid will wear things out
Great, I will do. I know it is best to use OEM fluid for most fluid exchanges, does this apply to power steering fluid as well or any brand will do?

I believe that Toyota changed to electric power steering for 2009 - at least that's what's under the hood of my 09 Matrix.
oh, I had no idea. thank you!
