We have a 2009 Toyota corolla le automatic 1.8l engine 192000 miles on it and have the code U0129 Lost communication with brake system control module. Ok at first we thought it was the module? So replaced that and it did not help. The windows won't go up either. The brakes and steering and gear shifter are locked also. Have erased and reprogramed the computer and still have this issue. A local mechanic and the local Toyota place have checked everything and can not find anything wrong. They have checked all fuses and relays and harnesses and nothing. You can try to talk to it but nothing happens. Any ideas? I surely would have thought the local Toyota dealership could have fixed it?? Also, the speed odometer does not work sorry just thought of that one. Everything works as it should be nothing else is wrong they say? Can you please give me some insight! Hope we don't have to get rid of the car?

The brake system control module has issues. Check the ground first and if it checks out, odds are the module is faulty. A Toyota dealer should know how to check it.
Thanks looking into getting another one due to this issue. Just weird how it affects the windows and speedometer?

Already on that also. Who would have known someone sabotaging something else totally different would do this!!
