We over heated my 2009 Toyota Sienna last year (it was bad! i accidently left the radiator cap off.... that's one way to kill a toyota 🙁
But now the question is, is there an easy way to tell if it has a warped head or just a blown gasket? It was over heated BAD!! Like all the gauges quit working we pulled over and let it sit for about an hour, tried putting water in and it was just a geyser spraying out (I know, that's horrible for the engine too) We were on vacation and was just hoping to make it back to my brothers house. Ended up having to leave it at a store near by and get a rental. Then we had it towed 900 miles home (I love this van too much to just junk it!)
The van still starts fine, no water appears to leak out, at first oil was fine but we can tell its getting a little milky (We do not drive this van but we start it every month or so and move it to a different spot in the drive way because the city claims that if a vehicle doesnt move, it's a junk vehicle) Should we just order the head for it or hope and pray it's only the gasket? Nothing leaks when it's running but it does smoke out the tail pipe.
