My buddy has a 1988 Mitsubishi Starion Turbo Automatic with 150000 miles on it. He was driving roughly 50mph on the highway when suddenly he heard a minor "pop" sound and his car shut off. I would not crank after that. He started up fine before the incident. Checked the fuses and no sign of damage. Checked the engine bay and no oil splattered anywhere. His battery voltage meter on his dash won't move when he turns it to the on position. The electricity works but it won't crank at all. What be the issue?

try boosting it from another vehicle.
