Model: 2009 Toyota Rav4 V6 Sport
Engine: 3.5-liter 2GR-FE V6 engine
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 123k miles (198km) - Oil Change every 6k Miles (full synthetic)
Engine Code: None
Hi everyone, my Toyota Rav4 (specifics above) has a rattle/grinding sound coming from the engine, it seems like it is getting progressively longer, as time goes on (lasts about 2-3 seconds), it has become more obvious over the past 30k miles or so. It only occurs when the has been sitting for 24+ hours, it will not make the sound if started more frequently. It almost sounds as if oil, takes a few seconds to reach everywhere (Oil level is not low). No other symptoms, car runs excellent otherwise and no dash lights.
Does anyone have a clue what could be going on and have any suggestions or experience with the 3.5-liter 2GR-FE V6 engine? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Kyle

Hi Scotty! Thanks so much for the reply! I hope you are enjoying Tenessee! Fingers crossed its not the timing chain, I imagine that would be an expensive repair. I took a short video of the startup sound, here's the link. Interested to hear your thoughts!
