I Bought this 2009 VW CC Sport Automatic 4 cyl 2.0 155 k miles. Starts fine in the morning. Do some errands and it sits for about 5 to 10 minutes and I try to turn on. It cranks, idles for 5 seconds thenstarts to idle lower til it stalls. will try to start again several times and crank but stalls immediately. If it sits for about an hour or longer I crank it and it turns on just fine. I would appreciate any suggestions.
Fuel filter and fuel pump. Have it pressure tested.
Also, clean the injectors, they may be leaking fuel after shut off and temporarily flooding the engine causing the misfire and hard starting and stalling.
@Doc Thank you for the reply. I will do that. This vehicle has a recall for an issue with the fuel pump. I will follow up with that also. I appreciate your time and suggestions.
