Hello. 😎 My son bought this used 2010 2.5L Camry a few months ago. His first car. Everything has been going great! While he was pumping gas at the station some guy told him he has a tranny fluid leak! I do not know if it's true or not as I have not checked the car myself, yet. I am headed there now. What the heck is this "no dipstick" crap? Sealed transmission? Is my son going to need to go to the Toyota dealership and go broke/get raped? I was the one that recommended the Camry 2AR-FE, because I have heard nothing but good reviews for this car and have heard nothing about transmission problems. HOW can I check his fluid levels and is there anything this backyard mechanic can do for this Camry or is it a specific dealer only fix? Thanks and EVERYONE pelase have a Great Christmas, Great Holiday and Happy New Year!!
My 1999 Honda Accord doesn’t have a transmission dipstick. There is a drain bolt and fill bolt on the transmission itself. I assume the Camry is similar.
And get this, my 2007 BMW X5 didn’t even have an engine oil dipstick! You had to look through the slow on board computer. I could check the oil faster than the computer if it had a dipstick.
