Hey Scotty, cheap guy commenting here. I'm looking at it a 2010 Toyota Avalon with 71000 MI and is being sold for $5,000. I want to know is that a good purchase? Is that good mileage for the year? Is the maintenance and repairs pricey or expensive? And are they reliable?
Seems like a good price and mileage I like the Avalons they are very reliable. If a mechanic checks it out and says it is in good condition, I would consider buying it. Just look for common problems, I would say, but the 2010 does not have many. Do a pre-purchase inspection if it all checks out to be in good shape, I would snatch it up.
Ask your mechanic to specially check the mileage. Those are reliable cars and their repair costs are more or less similar to V6 Camry.
But more reliable in that generation that the Camrys and more luxurious;)
i vote good deal, saw a 2010 with 60K go for $10,000 this summer, looked at one tonight on Craigslist over 200K, rough paint for $4500
