Hi People. I have a 2010 Camaro SS with 126k miles. Manuel Transmission. I was wondering if you guys could help me on what to do. You see. I haven’t started the car in two weeks. When I went to start it. I had no crank because of the security light on. So I had this happen to me before and I would bypass it by locking the car and unlocking it with my original key fob, and the security light would disappear so I was able to start it. Well now eventually my key fob battery died completely and So I thought replacing the key fob battery would work. Well it didn’t. I try to bypass it. Charging the battery. Resetting the computer by disconnecting the battery terminals. It’s wired because I seen video where people would get the warning light “Anti Theft” but I’m not getting that. Just the symbol of the car locked. I even try to leave it for 10min to see if the symbol disappears and it doesn’t. I wonder if it’s the fact that my key fob is done and I need a new one. Because basically the origin key I have all the buttons are messed up.  super frustrated {black}:tears:

I would try a new Fob . Get it programmed and see if that works.
You said it was old anyway.
Otherwise you might be going crazy for nothing if you start replacing parts

I will try that tomorrow since the closest Dealership James Wood is closed. I’m hoping that’s the problem since I seen comments of people saying the chip inside the key could go bad and wouldn’t send the signal to the car to recognize the key m.

Any local locksmith can do this job.

RamCharger88 and Doc. Thank you guys. It was the Key fob. I took it to locksmith and they scanned for signal of the chip on the remote and their was no signal. I was made another key fob and I had to do a procedure to program it. Fired up afterwards.
