Please I need advice. I’m new here but I follow Scotty on YouTube.
I am thinking of purchasing a 2010 Toyota Camry XLE from a dealership. It has 175k miles on it. The carfax seems clean, it starts annd runs and it has not been repainted. I intend to drive it 14 hours away to my home state to register. Do you think this purchase makes sense? The price is roughly $6k.

Dealership is a big red flag. Don't believe anything they tell you. Carfax is not an accurate indicator of the car's history since many issues may not be reported. Engine and transmission problems are reported for that model year, particularly oil burning. Taking it on a 14 hour ride home right after purchase is, well, not advisable to say the least. If you do proceed the car really needs to be given a thorough pre-purchase inspection by a good mechanic.
