I have a Chevy Cobalt 2010 2.2 litre ecotec the engine runs perfectly good it runs smooth as silk and idles good but I ran the codes just for kicks and I have a P0011 code (camshaft position timing over advanced or system performance bank 1) should I leave it alone or fix it I was quoted $600 to replace the VVT solenoids. I found some VVT solenoids for $30 per solenoid on Amazon and they seem to have good reviews I don’t he a the finds right now to get OEM GM solenoids. The people at the shop I took it to said they have to take the top head gasket off and from the look of it I can just take the two solenoids off without replacing the gaskets. They are literally on the top of the engine.

Like they say "if it aint broke, dont fix it". Once they start "digging" you may end up with more issues. No codes ad runs fine I would leave. Only reason you found it was snooping around.

Do not buy important car parts on Amazon. You will regret it.
