2010 chevy hhr instrument cluster

Dash is blank have checked normal things like fuses and plug in to cluster

See where can buy used and reman for 100$ est.   Do I absolutely have to have a dealer run sum type of computer set up on it. Or will it work if I get the exact part number dash that it currently has. 

Don't want to waste y'alls time on this.  If sumone knows rite away great. It will help me know which way to proceed.  Of course any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all the good advice u have provided to everyone.  You sir singled handedly made me understand not all Yankees are bad!!   Lol plz don't hate me for that.  Thetes good and bad in all races. It's a shame only the bad get reckonized.

yes a new cluster has to be programmed to a vehicle.

Maybe before replacing the cluster, pop open the interior fuse box on the passenger side of your center console, grab a test light and check the voltage on both sides of fuse number 7 (Cluster)

and fuse number 16 (Climate Control System, Ignition,Rear View Camera)

Fuses can't fry if they aren't getting any power
