The AC is noisy when disengaged with a typical bearing-like grinding sound. When the AC is on, the noise disappears. The local mechanic could not diagnose and recommended I change the whole AC compressor and clutch. The bearing does not appear seized. Source of noise is from the clutch-pulley assembly and not AC Compressor. Can I change just the pulley bearing?
