hello, i have 2010 corolla with 170000km i used conventional oil every 5-6 thousand kilometers, i have noticed lately a low pitched knock sound coming from the engine. The knock sound come at idle when its warmed up and when I driving at 2500-3000RPM and sometimes go away with more RPM or LOW, the car doesn’t burn oil. its not that audible but i upload this video from YouTube

You should find out where exactly the knock noise comes from. Based on the symptoms you have, you may need a tensioner for your timing chain.
Thanks for reply, also the problem or knock sound does appeared at cold star and the sound coming from top of the engine. The timing chain tensioner is leaking also. Is it safe to drive it like that at least for 4-5 months ??

If you can’t afford to fix it now then can you afford a new engine or car next week? Stop driving it and get it fixed somehow if you intend to keep it. That’s the consequences.

I went to ( very reputable lexus ) mechanic he said just first change the oil and filter and use very good genuine oil filter since i changed my oil all the time at quick loop like stuff! He adds this noise is not concerning right now as long as your oil is full and clean
Hmm... Interesting, try it. If it doesn't help, find a fix ASAP.
Does your mechanic give you warranty for free engine? If so, listen to him.
