Hello.

I am looking into buying a 2010 Dodge Journey R/T 250.123 km ( 155.419 miles ) $2.500 , I drive Nissan and know nothing about Dodge.

The engine light is on and the guy had a mechanic look at it and said there is nothing to worry about.   I don't mind putting a little money into the Dodge, but is it a good reliable vehicle?

Idk what Nissan you drive but I would rather keep a Nissan than buy a somewhat high mileage Dodge Journey, they fall apart and turn into money pits as they get older and older.

thank you, I will stay away from Dodge. I just sold my 93 Nissan V6 3.0L King Cab Hardbody, I have been drive that truck for 22 years and has never given me any real problems. I love Nissan. I really want to get a Murano but people have warned me to stay away from the CVT. I have been looking at used Murano's years 2003 - 2009.
Cheers

First up, I have a soft spot for the hardbody, they were tough as nails. Second, I would avoid the Murano, a better alternative would be the Infiniti crossovers like the Ex35 or Fx35 (they do have somewhat higher repair costs as they get high mileage) but it does share lots of parts with Nissan and there is a good aftermarket for them and they are much more reliable with the RWD based auto transmissions and you still have the reliable VQ35DE motors that can run a long time if well taken care of. If you can't find an Infiniti SUV in nice shape, then you can also look into Lexus or Acura's SUV portfolio.

I would not do that. You are going into a worse vehicle.

No.

Do not buy the Dodge Journey.  Stay away from them at all costs.

What's that mileage generally they are not the most dependable vehicles but in that price range you're not going to find much else. As long as you trust your mechanic and he says it's in decent shape that's worth that kind of money

Thank you
