i have changed the master cylinder and the booster and the check valve. I also bled the system completely, including ABS bleeding and still have a spongy pedal.

Did you have the proper bi-directional scanner to set the ABS solenoids to properly bleed the system?
No, I don't have a bi-directional scan tool. Is there any way to get around that?
