Car was running all electronics shut off car was sputtering , I put in park and it died. Got battery swapped car turned on but my alternator started smoking like burnt plastic . I turned it off let it cool came back in about a hour , no power at all again took positive wire off alternator found melted plastic , is the wire grounding somewhere ? And if so can I replace the wire or do i replace the harness
