- 2010 Fusion Sport makes weird noises when starting, only when cold. Sometimes it sounds like a belt, sometimes it sound like metal to metal. Thinking it is the bendix on the starter not retracting quick enough when it’s cold, any feedback would be appreciated. Is there any way I can send videos?

you could try temporarily removing the serpentine belt to eliminate that as a cause
