Should I continue to use 0-8w motor oil until my powertrain warranty expires and switch to 0-16w or 0-20w after the warranty expires?
I just want to know best for my car and to keep warranty valid

Scotty recently did a video on this issue, as 0W8 is also specified for his new Camry hybrid:
However, since the oil is also used as hydraulic fluid to operate the cam phasers it might be a good idea to investigate whether changes were made to the engine to accommodate the thinner oil. Also check your owner's manual - it might state that 0W16 is permissible for "severe service" or if 0W8 is "not available".
Also, to keep your warranty valid you have to use the oil recommended by the manufacturer.
