I replaced the transmission cylonoids about a mouth ago now the torque Convert is going out. It still shifts smooth as long as i do not go over 60 miles and hour, If i do it shifts hard. I have parked it to not do any more damage. the Question is if i replace the torque Convert should the stop the hard shifting, and any other advice you mite have, wish i could get a new car but can not aford one.

How do you know the problem is being caused by the torque converter? Has the transmission been diagnosed by a mechanic?

Odds are if the torque converter is going bad, the rest of the transmission isn't far behind. Get it diagnosed by a professional transmission shop, not someone who push sells rebuild jobs, a well-known, single shop operation that specializes in transmissions. If you like the car, get a remanufactured transmission, not a rebuild. You didn't mention the mileage on your HHR, but those transmissions are relatively weak. I'm pretty sure they used the same unit in the Cobalt, they were built on the same platform.

I pulled the cods from the car and it said torque converter that and it feels like riding on a rough road.
