I'm looking at a 2010 honda civic VP/DX (i think) automatic with 200,000 miles for $3K on marketplace. Is it worth it or keep walking. worth it but less? thanks....

Assuming it checks out, in this market, I think that is a fair deal. I actually think the price is too low for this market, which makes me think something is up with the car.

$1500 tops, maybe.

In this market if you can get anything decent for 3000 you are doing well. Definitely inspect it and pay close attention to the transmission. If all checks out I would buy it. Try and get the price closer to 2000 or so.
