2010 Honda Civic with ABS. Brake pedal goes to floor when engine is on, but not when engine off.

I replaced front brake calipers. Didn't torque screw on core enough and brake fluid came out, so I tightened the screw to 27pounds. I filled master cylinder with brake fluid. When the engine is off the brake pedal resists being pushed down like it should. When the engine is on the brake pedal goes to the floor and eventually the car comes to a stop. There does not appear to be a leak anywhere. I think maybe I need to bleed the line. I saw your video on replacing the master cylinder; but in that video you did not address wether or not the car was running. Suggestions?

Did you get air in the system when you changed the brakes?

I probably did not bleed them properly. I'll have to go back and review how to do it. Shouldn't be to difficult. Thanks

Sounds like you got air in the system. Get it bled correctly and should be good.
