I have a Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 V6 with 124k with the 6 speed Zf transmission. I have a had problem with the car getting stuck shifting from 4 to 5 gear at 40 mph at random times, however, if I pull over and shut the car off it acts normal. I had it scanned with a big fancy Snap-on Scan tool and it said I had a Solenoid problem. Is replacing a transmission solenoid something I could do myself or should I let a transmission specialist?

Give it a try if you don't mind getting dirty and dropping the transmission pan
