2010 Impala 3.5 v6/ is my transmission out or just the pump??
My friends 2010 impala has been not engaging into gear from time to time soon found out the transmission fluid was low so i put some in and it engages now but not all the time is the transmission out or is it just the pump cause it dose make a wining sound, also the transmission never had shifting problems.

That model is known for transmission problems. "Just the pump" means the transmission has to be torn down and overhauled. Not worth it for a 13-year-old Impala.
