2010 kia soul with 197k miles, manual trans. should i run away?

I would, Kia/Hyundai are not known for longevity. At 197k It may have 20-30k before you start having to dump alot of money into it. And if it’s the original clutch its gonna go sooner than later.
As @thumpy said, if you want it as a knock around vehicle, go ahead if you can pay <$1000. As a daily driver, just forget about it.
It’s ready to turn into a money pit very shortly.

That is very high mileage for a Kia and not worth the gamble buying it. I would pass on it.
Don't bother with that car, you can get much better for the money.
