I am looking at a 2010 Lexus IS250, RWD, Auto trans for a teen driver. Mileage is 106,000, had had 4 owners, a clear carfax, appears to have had oil changes at regular intervals. Struts replaced at 83K, however no record of other fluids exchanged. I have read most of the postings herein regarding the IS 250 which addressed excessive front tire wear and the GDI engine valve carbon buildup. Is the tire wear problem for RWD and AWD? Is the GDI engine to be avoided and can a fuel induction service at a mileage interval be cost effective maintenance? If an inspection by a mechanic does not turn up an glaring defects would you give a 2010 IS250 serious consideration? Offering $11K at a used car lot. Thanks. Rob
Truthfully I would walk away from that car because it's already had four owners people do not get rid of Lexus unless something goes wrong with them generally especially not four times
No consideration of any kind.
