I was wondering if this is a good vehicle to buy? It is a 2010 Lexus RX450H with 160,000 miles on it great interior private seller and the also state that it has a new hybrid battery. They want 11,900 for it. I have never owned a hybrid so I know nothing about them. Thanks
Ask to see the receipt for the battery. Assuming it was replaced at all it might have been with a "rebuilt" battery that may only last a year or two.
If the battery was replaced with an OEM, most likely yes.
If it is a reputable refurbished brand like GreenBean battery, and the warranty transfers to you, maybe yes.
If it is a lifetime warranty from a reputable company, most likely yes.
If it’s not a reputable brand, it’s hard to say how good a job that battery was, and if it will last.
Like @chucktobias said, ask for receipts.
If you are handy enough, you might be able to check the life of the battery yourself through the OBDII port.
