My gf has a 2010 mazda 5 van and when she presses the hazard light button it doesn't stay on, she has to either keep her hand on it or stick something in it to keep it down

It needs a new button switch
Is this something I can do myself even if I don't have much experience?

Put in a new switch & it should fix your issue.

If you’re feeling brave enough, it should be similar to the one in the CX-5 -
