Why does my overdrive light blink after driving?

Scotty,

  1. Awesome show, I have a 1995 Toyota Supra SE, black, recently repainted, normally aspirated with automatic, 184,502 miles, bought it with 182, 220 miles. I bought the car back in 07/18/2017, from Inland Empire in California. It does have an aftermarket front lip and 19" wheels, neither of which I'm a fan of but I can live with it. Anyway, I noticed that the O/D-overdrive light blinks after I've been driving it for awhile, I was thinking that the larger diameter wheels might have something to do with it, I checked the fluid and its actually still red. Also, maybe you can tell me why, every time I turn on my lights, that the guage cluster lighting, climate control and the ODO digital readout lights don't come on?

Thanks,

Dusty {black}

Is it the "O/D OFF" dash light blinking and is the O/D button on the gear shifter staying in the depressed position when you turn it on?

Have you checked the fuses for the instrument panel? From what I could find Fuse #6 . Could also be the dimmer switch is not turned up to full bright or is bad.

use Ampere rating [A] Circuit
6 PANEL 10 Instrument panel lights, instrument panel lights control

Apologies for not responding quicker, anyway, the O/D button is depressed/pushed in but yet, the O/D light blinks nonetheless on the guage panel and the dimmer switch for the lights is turned up all the way, yet the lights are non functional when the headlights are on.

Does it cause any drivability issue? If not, based on what you mentioned about the pother lights, you may have some loose connections in your gauge cluster.

No drivability issues, it had been in some kind of accident in the past according to the previous owner, sat out in some lot in California, before it was restored to driving status. As you can tell by the mileage I stated, I hardly drive it and will address the issues all in due time, thank you.
