Hey guys, I own a 2010 Honda Odyssey with 290,000 miles on it currently. I have a growing concern about what I believe is a lifter clicking. It has been noticeable for the past 150,000 miles plus but is getting louder over time. Should I have the lifters adjusted? Does this engine model require this adjustment? It has the common 3.5L V6 Variable valve timing engine. It's an automatic, no codes currently! It has always ran like a top, only had two sensors for the cylinder management to get higher gas milage otherwise regular maintenance only.
Thank you guys!

Definitely check/adjust the valves. On the VCM motors, you must not go more than 150k miles without at least checking the valve clearance.
I seen one recently with 377k miles.

Thanks guys, I plan on driving this Van for years to come, I keep the maintenance up and run Ams oil signature series oil in it so I will dig into this adjustment and see if I can tackle it to keep this thing on the road for several more years. Would Honda do this at the 100,000 mile service when they do the water pump, timing belt, etc. Work by chance? Those are the only services that have been done on my van. If they don't do this I guess after 290,000 I should get it done.
@_aragorn_7, I finally got around to doing this valve adjustment, my alternator went out and while I had removed several items to replace it and the gasket to the solenoid that leaked oil into the alternator I dove in an did this adjustment myself. Well, it took two tries for me to get it right but the old Honda is running and still some ticking but much quieter than before the adjustment. I am shooting for another 100 thousand if I can get it out of it, it's been probably the best vehicle I have ever owned at this point. I just wanted to thank you for your input to getting this done as a DIY type of guy I enjoyed the learning experience in doing this as well. Thank you again.

thanks for reporting back
290000 miles is a lot of miles. I would not put much money into it. But if you are going to do it yourself it may just be your rocker shaft bridge. If it is loose it can cause a clicking noise.
