Yes they are really dependable engines and reliable. Have you heard the guy with a 2007 or 2008 Tacoma ( 4 cylinder engine ) with more than a million miles? His engine went out at 700k miles and transmission went out at 1 million miles. He even changes the oil at 10k intervals instead of 5k and it still lasted that long.

That's a good, durable engine. As long as it was maintained properly, had regular oil changes,etc, it could be a nice truck however that mileage is highly suspicious. Especially for a 14 year old Tacoma...
