Hi All,
On my 2010 Highlander, when I do the auto close on the rear gate, it gets to 99% closed but doesn't close all the way and then beeps. Is there a way to lube it, or are the gas strutts weak causing it to not close correctly. Any help is appreciated.
When I push it, it will finish closing.

Another reason why I prefer manually closing tail gates. Just another thing to break & cost you $$$ to fix.
If I were you, I’d just live with it and shut it manually like you are presently doing.

Most likely, issue is related to electronics and cost a lot to fix.
