I have a 2010 Tundra with the 5.7 liter V8 with 209,000 miles. I have had the truck little over a year. I notice my coolant level stays just below the "low level" marking on the reservoir with a cold engine. When I add some coolant so the level is between low and full mark; after a month or so it will show just below the low level on a cold engine like I stated before. When I change the oil it does not look milky, and the engine does not over heat. Is everything normal, or am I in the beginning stages of a blowing head gasket? Thanks in advance!
I would buy a UV leak dye kit and put it in your coolant to see if you have a leak. If you can’t find anything I would buy a head gasket test kit and if it ends up being a head gasket problem I would put a sealer and see if it helps. It doesn’t seem to bad yet so if it is a head gasket you could still catch it in time. It could just be a leak so test that with the dye kit as well. Wish the best for you man!
