2010 Honda pilot automatic 147,000km
Hey my hubs and I bought the pilot 2 days ago but I found rust under the front seats when looking for a toy my son dropped. Just wondering if I should leave it or clean it up somehow and what to use to stop it
If it's just light surface rust don't worry about it. If you're in an area with salted winter roads you could spray underneath with Fluid Film or similar rust-resisting product.
Classic sign of a (previously) flooded vehicle. I hope you had it thoroughly inspected before purchase.
While you’re at it, look at the cabin fuse box to check for signs of corrosion too.
Feel if the carpet. If it's wet then you have a leak you need to fix. If it's dry, then the rust is from someone spilling a drink in the past.
