Looking to buy my uncles 6.6 duramax 4x4 dully, has 167k on it, needs the head gasket replaced, asking 20k. Is there anything I should look at/inspect before going forward?

Why is the head gasket blown? What other items need to be fixed because of the head gasket? I would pass on it - not a strong vote of confidence with a blown head gasket.
