I have a 2011 Cadillac Escalade ESV 6.2L with 280,000miles. I’m getting 2 codes which are P014A & P0158. I have hade the O2 sensor replaced 2 times and the wiring checked out. These codes happened after I had work done for a different code which was for a multiple cylinder misfire (P0300). They replaced a fuel injector, feel injector coil, O2 sensor, intake gasket, fuel pump and plugs & wires. I’m being told the next step is replacing the cataylic converter. I’ve never had these 2 codes before. Any thoughts on what else to check? Thank you for your help.
Did you use OEM sensors?
Clarification: the second code is P0158 or P015B? (“8” versus the letter “B”)
I was told they where OEM sensors.
P0158 is correct, not B. I know The Catalytic converter is a possibility, it just seems weird that it wasn’t an issue before having all the work done. I drove the car 2 miles when the engine light came on had it scanned and those were the codes that came up.
For P014A see below: catalytic converter is listed as a possible cause
