Why are these warning lights on

Scotty, two weeks ago I changed the antifreeze and thermostat in my son’s car.  I had to disconnect the wiring to the alternator. I reconnected everything. About a week later he got a check engine light which turned out to be malfunction of engine control system and deceleration sensor.  Also the slip indicator light won’t go out.  I checked the battery with my Topdon and it is good and appears to be charging correctly.  I did also forget to reattach the air hose from the intake back to the throttle body.  I guess it’s a pvc hose.  Probably not related.  Do I need a new computer?

 Thanks

It might just be because you were fiddling with the wiring. Clear the codes and see if they come back.

If they do, look them up on obd-codes.com and follow the troubleshooting there.

Do I need a new computer?

Why the conclusion that a new computer may be needed? What diagnostics have been performed?
