2011 Camry SE v6 Making a Whistling Noise

I have a 2011 Toyota Camry Se V6. I'm getting a whistling noise from the passengers side under the hood. I've changed the belt and checked the pulleys but I still get the sound. This only happens when the car is idling. When I apply the gas the noise stops. There is no play in the pulleys and they don't look misaligned. Could you please help me fugue out this problem? It's been like this for over one year. Also, I thought I should mention that this morning for the first time ever, the check engine light started to flash and I got a code of P0300. The code went away after the car warmed up for about a minute. Please help. Thanks

Hi thanks for responding. When you say fan belt are you referring to the serpentine belt? I changed the serpentine belt twice and the sound did not go away. The sound is on the passenger side of the lower engine compartment.

First remove all the fan belts if the noise goes away and you know it's one of those. As for the misfire codes do my video fixing intermittent misfire po300 Scotty

Yes Scotty means the drive belt/serpentine belt. Since it’s not the belt, odds are it’s a pulley which is run by the belt. Watch his video, it should take you through the diagnosis.

Thanks. I'll check through his videos. The video that Scotty suggested is only for the engine code.

In addition to the belt & pulleys, check for any vacuum leaks.

Just to rule out the obvious, this is the video Scotty is referring to - https://youtu.be/OyvdWeyDHf4
