2011 Chevy Camaro TCS CEL on

I have a 2011 Chevy Camarillo with 140000 miles on it. Just today I had all my traction control lights on my dash come on as I was driving, and some clicking going on under the car. I’ve been told it could be the alternator through some research. I also have has the check engine light on for a awhile now. Car starts up perfectly fine and has no other problems, rather get an opinion on here than some mechanic take my whole wallet.

Also all my lights went dim as soon as all my lights cam on the dash for all the traction control alerts

Definitely sounds like an electrical issue. If it isn't doing it now, I wouldn't worry too much. If it does it again, I'd have the alternator checked out.

Comes on every time I turn the car on, any reason for the clicking??

It probably sounds like it is coming from underneath but is actually in the engine bay. If it fires up, you know the starter is good and you are getting fuel to it. My first guess would be the alternator. You can have an auto parts store check it for free.

Load test the battery and alternator. Odds are that your alternator is on its way out.

You also mention CEL has been on for awhile - did you scan it to see what code(s) come up?

Auto parts stores like Auto Zone and others will test alternator for free
