Hi Scott and team!
I have a 2011 toyota corolla with nearly 90,000km on it. Automatic transmission. Has worked mostly without trouble. But for the past week, when I start it up, it makes this terrible sound. Here's the sound. https://youtu.be/uQGNReGb398?si=8CxOTN2U6RLdC2Xd
It goes away after 5 minutes of running. And it is fine for the rest of the day. This sound only happens first start of the day in the morning.
What could be the problem? I am the first owner of this car.

Hard to tell from that inside video but it kind of sounds like you have an exhaust leak somewhere. Check around the manifold. Sometimes those gaskets start leaking and when they're cold they make noise until it warms up and they expand from heat
