Looking at a 2011 Ford Expedition at a dealer. One owner with 98k miles with the 24 valve 5.4 liter. Are there any problems specific to these Expeditions that you are aware of that I should look for and have a mechanic check?

That 5.4L 24v is well known to have multiple problems. Those engines have cam phaser failure after 100k miles or so. The other common problem that can happen is when the timing chain tensioner blows out the seal, it will starve the cams of oil pressure. These engines get replaced all the time, because of this happening.
