Scotty, I have a 2011 Honda Pilot that I bought as my first car. It now has 171k miles, and I paid about 5300 for it. Clean title. My question is, it did not start recently, and my battery is newer, a 23 battery, not sure about the alternator or the starter. It sometimes makes a noise that is a whining, wheezing noise that sounds like the starter bearing is going. It only does it when cold. What could this noise be?
Also, it sometimes leaks oil. I've replaced the front valve cover gasket and the VVT solenoid and gaskets. It seems to have fixed it, but what are some common reasons why it will leak oil?
Did I make a good choice with the car?
Also, do you need to only use OEM Honda Parts, or can you use parts from NAPA or AutoZone?
Please read the 'no start' page in our FAQ and see if that helps.
@imperator can you post a link to that so I can find it? Im new to the site
